History of the coin
The coin is dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Blackpool F.C.’s historic promotion to the English Premier League in the 2009/2010 season. The supply symbolically repeats the year of the achievement. Issued in honor of one of the brightest moments in the club’s history and Valery Belokon’s personal involvement in that success. A significant portion of the proceeds from the sale of the coin is directed to support Blackpool FC’s youth football academy.
